3 Steps to Harness your Gifts for Wellness.

 

Often we humans get strongly attached to the outcomes we desire in life and if these do not meet our expectations we tend to get deeply disappointed. Focusing constantly on these feelings of disappointment we begin to sow seeds of Unwellness!

If you have felt that way, consider taking these 3 steps that will shift your view point and harness the power of your gifts to make roads for your Wellness.

 

1. Finding your Gifts

Expand your vision, look at yourself and what surrounds you. You will soon find you have been blessed with countless gifts that you were not even aware of or have taken for granted… and that life itself is a gift!

You have the miraculous gift of a self regulatory body. A heart that constantly beats itself… A digestive process that works to provide nourishment from the food that nature provides … Breath that provides you with life and countless other automated processes that give you the gift of livingness and human experience on Earth.

You will find you are surrounded with an abundance of gifts from Nature! The Sun that gives our days Light, warmth, nutrients, cheer… The Earth that houses us, grounds us, shelters innumerable other creatures and forms of life, grows infinite variety of trees, plants, herbs, vegetables, fruits that provide us with healthy and tasty feasts, nourishment, healing colours, herbs and sounds. The Atmosphere, seas and forests that provide us with healthy frequencies and rich ions. The life giving air we breathe, the water we drink, the darkness of night so we can recuperate…

 

2. Appreciate your Gifts

Once you awaken to the presence of these rich gifts, you will never take them for granted or abandon them. Let us not come to this realisation once we are unwell, for Wellness itself is a gift ! Take time to appreciate the gifts life gives and what they bring to you…  We are sentient Beings and have the unique gift to feel and experience.. Linger in the morning rays of the sun, watch the amazing colours of the sunset, the calm moonlight, the twinkling of stars in the vast sky, the aroma and colour of flowers, the amazing shapes and tastes of varied plants and fruits, feel grateful for them and remain in a state of awe for this bounty!

 

3. Focus on the feelings of Gratitude

Learn to repeatedly focus on your gifts, the feelings of gratitude and the state of awe they bring. Focusing on the feelings of Gratitude brings joy to the heart, triggers the release of  healing chemicals by the body laying strong grounds for your Wellness!

  • Reflect on your previous year with gratitude, before raising the sail and setting the course for your new year.

 

  • Rather than thinking about your activities, think about the space in between those activities.
    To sustain a steady rhythm in your life, focus on the space between the beats.

 

  • When you aren’t sure what action to take, it might be better to take no action and to observe. The best way to understand your world, is to be still And observe.

 

  • The more you focus on what you love, the more love you experience.

 

  • Notice what happens when you fall in love with who you are, and what makes you uniquely special. 

 

  • Give your doubts a rest, so more positive voices can inspire you.

 

  • Focus on your strengths and let them carry you beyond your weaknesses.

 

  • When you hear yourself begin to complain, do this,Turn your complaint into a lesson… and then manifest something beautiful out of the lesson.

The Master Meditation.

 

Meditation is a much talked about subject in today’s Stressed Society and we are always on the look out for effective Meditation techniques.

 

Well, we are all inherently blessed to be downloaded with the best form of meditation, the Master of all meditations which we take for granted called SLEEP !

And the Key Detox of All.

 

Having looked at the body’s inherent modes of detoxification and various ways to support them, we should not overlook the key detox of all; the Detoxification or Clearing of Toxic Emotions.

 

Toxic emotions such as Anger, Guilt, Shame, Self- loathing, Fear, Regret, Bitterness, Resentment… affect all areas of one’s life.  The effects of such embedded emotions impinge on your physical health, relationships,  sabotage progress , and impede your joy & vitality.

The Forgotten Channel of Detoxification

My last blog post talked about Detox and Cleanses to Get Back to Good Health. Continuing the subject of Detoxification, the Drainage system of the body which is oft forgotten, the importance of which can not be stressed enough is the Lymphatic System.

This network of Lymph channels is larger than the Arterial system and travels along with the blood vessels and nerves in the body and carries a milky white fluid.

The Lymphatic system removes waste from every cell in our body and also regulates the Immune system as the important cells of our Immune system are highly active in the Lymph nodes of our body. It is the biggest waste drain in our body which if not supported can get clogged.

Some Symptoms of Lymph Congestion are Tiredness, Bloating, Swelling (including of Breasts), Stiff and sore muscles, Dry skin, Itchy skin, Brain fog, Cold hands and feet.

 

Supporting Lymph Drainage

The Lymph system drains well in an alkaline and hydrated environment. STRESS and Acid forming Diets decrease the alkalinity of the body cells. Drinking adequate amount of WATER is a very important habit to keep the Lymph flowing. All RED FOODS and HERBS speed the movement of Lymph eg Beets and Berries. EXERCISE plays an important role especially the use of Trampoline Rebounder and climbing up and down the stairs are effective Lymph moving exercises. Massage is another good Lymph mover.

It is important to have the channels of detoxification open and flowing well before undertaking any stringent cleanses so that the toxins can be moved out of the body without harming or straining it.

Wellness Tools at Your Fingertips.

 

Using Touch, Communicating with and Sending Love to the ailing parts of our bodies can have a profound Therapeutic Effect on our Health.

 

The Healing power of Touch is widely known and used in various cultures since Ancient times. It is the first of the senses to develop in the human infant and has shown to release the ‘Feel Good Hormones’, Serotonin, Dopamine and Oxytocin.
